Biography

Long Zhi, Chief Physician in the Department of Urology at the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. He holds a PhD in Surgery and is a Chief Physician of Urology and a Master's supervisor. He currently serves as Director of the Urology Male Disease Center. He mainly focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of prostate diseases and male sexual dysfunction, and is skilled in various minimally invasive surgeries for benign prostatic hyperplasia. He was the first lead surgeon in Hunan Province to perform penile prosthesis implantation and proficiently carries out this technique for the treatment of male erectile dysfunction. He has long been engaged in penile deformity reconstructive surgery for conditions such as penile curvature, penile induration, and concealed penis, seminal vesiculoscopy for hematospermia, and the diagnosis and treatment of varicocele and vasectomy. He was a visiting scholar at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada. He has led 4 provincial and departmental-level research projects, participated in 2 national-level projects, published more than 30 papers in domestic and international professional journals, and obtained 1 national invention patent and 2 utility model patents.
